Final Little Project

The professors totally lied about this one.  It was introduced as a little project and it took me FOREVER to finish.  Perhaps this is because I just was not satisfied with the result each time I tried.

I wanted to portray all of my projects in a cohesive manner without a lot of text.  I think I managed this very well.

I decided to title this "the evolution of the peacock" because I figured that is what this semester was for me... developing an idea until it became a whole.  And the final cohesive creation was a peacock.

Here is my project below:

Jackie O My Gosh!

Yay!  Final's done!  I think it truly did turn out very well.  During our critique, the professors said they were all surprised that our group managed to pull it together in time.  And I must admit: I am too.

I felt that our group was VERY all over the place for most of this project.  We had so many different ideas for projects, and did not even pick our final idea until about 2 weeks in!  Nonetheless, I am so proud of us for making it work.

Here are pictures of various pieces of our project:

The cashier's desk.  Painted gold.  Because MAC does things like that .

This is the desk that people would sit at to test out the lipsticks.

The same table with the seat poofs in front of it.  Four people can sit in front of the long table at once.

This was our large scale of the display case.  It was made to model glass shelving that could be found in a bedroom.  We decided to make the entire thing out of mirrors for that extra touch of glam.

This is our basic structure -- in progress!

And our final!  Curtains and all.  If there's one thing I could say about this it would be that it is adorable! I love the curtains and the cashier's desk is my favorite.  Everything is delicate and glamorous.  I really think we as a group managed to embody our concept of bringing glam back to the modern woman.  Hope you like it!

Bedroom!

Yay MAC!  So we're building our space to be like a bedroom.  I don't want to say too much about it, because I will post the final model after we hand it in on Thursday.  All I can say is I think it's really coming together!

Here is a picture of our exterior: (well, it's a sketch model)
And here is Greg hard at work!

Can't wait to hand our project in on Thursday!  I really hope everyone likes it
